LG’s New Entry-Level VL5F Displays Make It Easy to Add a Video Wall
As many businesses are currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some are using this time to remodel, focusing on providing a better customer experience for the future. One of the ways businesses can enhance their customer experience is with digital signage, and the current climate brings a need to clearly communicate new messaging to customers, visitors, employees, patients, students, and others.
One of the most effective ways to get a message seen by as many people as possible in a variety of business environments is with a video wall: Individual display screens tiled together to create one impressively large screen that can effortlessly capture the attention of passersby.
LG’s new entry-level VL5F series Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) video wall displays can make an interior digital renovation a smart plan, in both budget and deployment. Available in 49- and 55-inch models at attractive price points, these Energy Star® certified displays are rated for 24-hour operation and feature an ultra-narrow bezel-to-bezel width of 3.5mm, rendering a virtually seamless image when the displays are tiled into one screen.
When multiple screens create a single screen, high image quality from edge to edge is essential. LG’s In-Plane Switching (IPS) technology is an advantage, as it provides a wide viewing angle of up to 178 degrees, horizontally and vertically, where color is rich and true, contrast is high and text is crisp. IPS brings out the full beauty of Full HD. And to ensure that the images are less obstructed by the thin bezels, the VL5F series includes an image improvement algorithm that can reduce image gaps among tiled displays when playing back videos—objects located on the bezel boundaries are adjusted accordingly.
Setting up and operating a VL5F series video wall is straightforward. Depending on the content, the color temperature of the display can be adjusted using a remote control. White balance adjustment is detailed and precise, as adjustments can be made with the ability to modify each value of grayscale. In addition, a user-friendly menu structure groups similar functions together with a four-way navigation remote control, so users can avoid trial-and-error when exploring desired functions and managing displays. A large font makes for better visibility, which may be necessary when users want to control displays from relatively far distances.
Content creation and management is facilitated with LG SuperSign™ CMS all-in-one content management software for editing, scheduling and distribution. Included are 100 templates and various special effects to augment the look and feel.
LG VL5F series video wall displays include a commercial 3-year limited warranty, and an Enhanced Service Plan is available for an additional fee to ensure businesses get the most from their investment. The design and operation of this video wall display is attractive and highly functional and can be used to deliver alerts, instructions, advertising and myriad information in a variety of business environments, making for an enhanced experience when the doors open again.
